A WhatsApp voice note often lands as .opus or .ogg. This drop zone refuses those. Share or export the note as M4A or MP3 on the phone, then drop that copy. Do not send the note through an online converter first if the point is that it stays here. There is no WhatsApp bot.
iPhone voice memo to text
An iPhone voice memo longer than 15 minutes stops here. Browser Whisper holds the recording in memory. A file longer than 15 minutes is refused before the model runs. A longer memo belongs in Vemoir for Mac. Cutting a long file into parts still spends a weekly run per successful pass. Three successful runs a week.
Who is speaking?
This page does not run a speaker-separation model. If the file already contains names, those are kept. Who-said-what on a raw two-person memo is a Mac job.
Swiss German transcription

Before you start
Does the file leave this device?
No. After the speech model is cached, you can open the Network tab and confirm that the audio is not posted anywhere. Inference stays in this tab.
Why is there a 15-minute cap?
Browser Whisper is a trial. The page stops before the model runs if the file is longer. Longer memos belong in Vemoir for Mac.
Which files work?
MP3, M4A, WAV and MP4, up to 15 minutes. An iPhone Voice Memo shared from Voice Memos is usually M4A.
What about a WhatsApp .opus or .ogg file?
This page refuses them. Export or save a copy as M4A or MP3 on the phone. Vemoir for Mac does not import opus or ogg either.
Does this record or join WhatsApp?
No. There is no bot and no live capture. You drop a file you already have.
Will it label who is speaking?
Not on a raw memo. Names already in the file are kept. Speaker separation is a Mac job.
What about Swiss German?

What happens after three uses this week?
